BAYSIDE, Queens (PIX11) — A Queens man pleaded guilty to multiple charges after more than 10,000 images and videos of child pornography were found on his computer.

Special agents from the Department of Homeland Security 32-year-old Christopher DeNicola’s computer in May of last year. Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said that the Bayside resident’s computer and 10 external hard drives contained photos and videos of children being sexually abused. Not only did he download thousands of files of child porn, DeNicola organized the files into categories, including one labeled “pre-teen hard core.” DeNicola admitted to trading porn back and forth on a network for years.

“It is important to remember that these images are for all intents and purposes crime scenes – they depict real children being cruelly victimized both physically and emotionally. The memories of their abuse will be with them for the rest of their lives,” Brown said.

DeNicola pleaded guilty to charges of promoting sexual performance of a child and will be sentenced to 2 to 6 years in prison.
