Two men dead after driving into a tree in Queens: NYPD

FLUSHING, N.Y. (PIX11)– Police say two men are dead after a car crashed into a tree in Queens early Monday.

Police received a call shortly after 1:30 a.m. of a vehicle crash on Booth Memorial Ave and 164th St in the Flushing section of Queens.

When police arrived, the 28-year-old driver and 26-year-old passenger were found unconscious inside a 2005 Dodge Stratus. They were  pronounced dead shortly after.

Police determined the car was traveling eastbound on Booth Memorial Avenue at a high speed when it jumped a sidewalk and hit a tree.

No other vehicles or people were affected in this incident.
