PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (PIX11) — A Florida mom was arrested after cops say she drove with her teen son on the hood of her car.

Cops say 32-year-old Bridget Garcia of Port St. Lucie got into an argument with her 13-year-old son after she took away his cellphone. WPBF reports that Garcia put her three other children in her car and attempted to leave the home.

The 13 year old reportedly jumped on the hood of the car as Garcia attempted to back out of the driveway. Instead of stopping, authorities say Garcia kept driving about 200 feet before slamming on the brakes — leading the boy to fall off the car.

He was treated for non life-threatening injuries to his hip, knee and foot. None of the children in the car were injured.

Garcia is now facing child abuse charges.
