Truck slams into food stand after colliding with school bus in Queens

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A chain-reaction crash in Queens sent multiple people to the hospital after a school bus and truck collided, sending the truck slamming into a fruit stand, fire officials said.

It happened midday Friday near Hillside Avenue and Hollis Court Boulevard.

Four people were taken to a hospital in unknown condition, FDNY said. The bus was carrying children at the time of the crash.  At least two dozen students are being evaluated at the scene for injuries.

Department of Buildings inspectors went to the scene to evaluate the stability of the building.
