MANHATTAN (PIX11) -- Riders were supposed to have been able to take the 7 train all the way to Manhattan's west side by now. In December 2013, Mayor Bloomberg took a ceremonial ride on the city-funded project.

They hoped it would be open in the summer of 2014. Then it was February 2015.

The MTA says it will be open in July or August.

The agency has released some photos from inside.
