QUEENS (PIX11) -- A passenger plane made an emergency landing at LaGuardia Airport Monday afternoon after smoke filled the cabin of the plane, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Shuttle America Flight 3377, operating as a Delta connection from Rochester, made the landing at about 3:30 p.m. The plane has been evacuated and passengers are being bused to the Delta terminal. Emergency crews have requested the plane be towed to the gate.

"The 50-seat Embraer 145 aircraft landed safely. Out of an abundance of caution, customers deplaned onto the tarmac and were taken into the terminal via bus. Safety is always the top priority on every flight," a Delta spokesperson said in a statement.

No injures have been reported to the 42 passengers or three crew members aboard.
