BUSHWICK, N.Y. (PIX11)– An 81-year-old man has been┬ácharged in the stabbing death of his granddaughter’s boyfriend, according to police.

Nicholas Diaz, 81, of Brooklyn, was charged with one count of manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon after turning himself into police Sunday, NYPD said.

Police say Diaz stabbed 21-year-old Kevin Rivera in the chest inside his Brooklyn apartment early Sunday.

Rivera was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, NYPD said.
