BROOKLYN (PIX11) -- A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of placing metal on subway tracks, causing a potentially dangerous explosion underground, police said Wednesday.

Keyshawn Brown was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon. He faces charges of criminal mischief, arson and reckless endangerment, NYPD said.

Video posted online last week showed a small explosion on the tracks as a C train pulled into the Nostrand Avenue station. That blast may have been caused by a metal object on the track.

Police said Brown’s arrest is the only arrest they anticipate to make in this case.
