VICTORVILLE, Calif. (PIX11) — Authorities are investigating after a video surfaced that captures a woman hitting a 3-year-old child in the face with what appears to be a tablet.

The incident happened in a parking lot in Victorville, according to KTLA.

The video, which has been viewed more than 22,000 times, was uploaded to YouTune Thursday by a man who stated in the describtion that he started filming in the Khol’s parking lot when he witnessed the woman dragging the child out of the store by his hair.

The video shows the woman, later identified as 39-year-old Yvonne Camargo, putting the screaming child in the backseat of a gold Chevrolet car, wiping his face then appears to whack the 3-year-old in the face with some sort of tablet.

The man can then be heard confronting the man, “Hey, why are you hitting that kid like that? … Why are you hitting that little baby?” he asks.

A second woman who was with the man can then be heard yelling profanities at Camargo.

“Hitting a f—ing innocent kid that can’t protect themselves. … How do you feel hitting a kid?” she asks.

The police were called and an investigation is ongoing. The child was reportedly examined for injuries.

The relationship of the child and the woman has not been released.
