Killer sought after deadly Easter Sunday shooting in Queens

ASTORIA, Queens (PIX11) — The search is on for the shooter who killed a man in Queens on Easter Sunday, police said.

Sean Overton, 42, was found shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday in front of 2-10 Astoria Blvd., lying on his back with a gunshot wound to his neck and another gunshot wound to his torso, police said.

Overton, who lived about half a mile away from the Astoria Houses where he was shot, was conscious when officers arrived. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information in the case is urged to call NYPD’s anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
