Pair of thieves beat up 32-year-old man at Bronx subway station: cops

VAN NEST, N.Y. (PIX11)-- Two men viciously beat up and stole from a 32-year-old man outside a Bronx subway station after he refused hand over his belongings, according to cops.

Police say the incident happened during the early morning on March 28 while the victim was walking down the staircase at the Bronx Park East subway station.

The victim was approached by the two men, who demanded his wallet and backpack, police say. When he refused to give up his items, the duo forced him into the ground and started kicking and punching him before running away with his wallet, according to the NYPD.

He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for injuries and later released.

Police released surveillance video of the two men, who they describe to be between 18 to 20 years-old and weigh around 180 pounds.
