Police search for 2 suspects in armed robbery of Brooklyn cell phone store

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- Police are searching for two men in connection with a Brooklyn cell phone store robbery.

The robbery occurred Saturday morning around 10:52 a.m., at the Metro PCS store at 989 Bedford Ave.

Police say one of the suspects brandished a firearm and forced the store employee into the bathroom. The other suspect grabbed around $10,000, cell phones and accessories. They then fled the scene.

One of the suspects is described as approximately 230 pounds, 6-foot-1 and carrying a gun. The second suspect is described as being 140 pounds and 5-foot-7. Both men had their faces covered at the time of the robbery. The face of one of the suspects can be clearly seen on surveillance video released by police.

The surveillance video shows the suspects inside the store as well as before and after the crime.
