Police seek shooter in death of 24-year-old man in Brooklyn

EAST NEW YORK (PIX11)-- Police released surveillance video Friday of a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old man in the Brooklyn the afternoon before.

The video shows the shooter running up and firing his weapon, presumably at the victim, identified as Jonathan Thomas, of Brooklyn. It happened Thursday near Shepard and Glenmore avenues.

Police received a call shortly before 2 p.m. and upon arrival, saw Thomas suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Thomas was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
