BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. (PIX11) -- Prosecutors in Bergen County, New Jersey announced the arrests of 5 men wanted for over 40 residential burglaries.

Many of the crimes took place during daytime hours. Homes were targeted from Englewood to Saddle River.

After the investigations and the execution of various search warrants, detectives recovered hundreds of suspected stolen items including guns, jewelry, electronics, antique coins, cell phones and a safe.

Englewood mother Malka Zwieback told PIX 11 the arrests were a reminder to always lock up her home before leaving for the day. She says you never know who may be watching and waiting for you to leave. "We have to be more aware watch out surroundings," she said.
