Five teens in custody after brutal beating of 15-year-old girl at Brooklyn McDonald’s

FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A fifth suspect in the brutal McDonald's beatdown has turned herself into police.

Police say the unidentified 16-year-old girl surrendered Saturday morning.

According to the NYPD, 17-year-old Tilani Marshall and an unnamed 15-year-old, both of Brooklyn, were arrested overnight.

A 14-year-old suspect, who has not been named due to her age, was apprehended in Atlanta, trying to board a plane to Jamaica.

The girls are charged with robbery and gang assault. They are scheduled to be arraigned in a Brooklyn court on Saturday.

Seventeen-year-old Aniah Ferguson was arrested Thursday and charged as an adult. Police say she was the ringleader and has 10 prior arrests. The Brooklyn district attorney has indicted Ferguson on first-degree attempted gang assault. The arraignment has not yet been scheduled.


Ferguson reportedly told police that the beatdown was weeks in the making. She apparently made statements to investigators that she’d been looking for the victim since January because of an ongoing dispute. She could face 25 years in prison if convicted.

The 15-year-old teen victim, who is not cooperating with police, but is reportedly bragging on Facebook about her new-found Internet fame.

She commented that her “11s” looked “gucci” during the melee, which means in teen vernacular that her Jordan sneakers looked good. The teen, thanked the dozens of people who said she’s “famous now,” and even posted a screenshot of the video posted to rapper Lil Durk’s Instagram page.
