ORLANDO (PIX11) — Former New York Jets and Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson, 29,  is in stable condition after being shot in the shoulder during a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning in Orlando, Florida, according to multiple reports.

ESPN is reporting that the driver of the vehicle, Dreekius Oricko Johnson, 28, was killed in the shooting. Former Jets RB Chris Johnson was hospitalized for the injury to his shoulder.

No arrests have been made in what police are calling a homicide investigation.

Johnson is set to become a free agent Tuesday after the Jets declined to pick up his contract option for 2015.
