WPIX used this bumper until the transition to WB 11 in January 1995. It was part of a broad station graphic campaign used in movie opens as well as the News at 10. The 11 falls into place precisely where the Twin Towers stood on the skyline. The “Circle 11” logo, first unveiled in 1969, was inspired by the original World Trade Center.
