Suffolk County police investigating shooting of 14-year-old boy

COPIAGUE, Long Island (PIX11) — Police in Suffolk County are investigating the shooting of a 14-year-old boy early Saturday.

The boy was standing in front of the 550 W Prospect St. in Copiague around 1:10 a.m. when he was shot in the leg by an unidentified person. He was treated to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or place an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
