Police seeking suspect who shot 24-year-old in the Bronx

MORRISANIA, The Bronx (PIX11) -- The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance in finding a suspect who shot a 24-year-old in the Bronx Friday afternoon.

The suspect shot the victim in the torso on the opposite side of 639 E 169th St. in Morrisania around 4:20 p.m. and fled south, police said. The victim was transported to Saint Barnabus Medical Center and was listed in stable condition.

Police describe the suspect as a 5-foot-8 Hispanic man with long black hair pulled into a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a ski cap, black work boots, a black shirt, a fur trimmed jacket and black jeans. Police released a surveillance video of the suspect.
