MAYVILLE, Wisc. (PIX11) - Police say they won't charge the 92-year-old driver who was caught on surveillance video slamming into nearly a dozen vehicles while trying to leave a Wisconsin parking lot.

Video shows the driver, identified by WISN as Russell Kerr, slowly backing his van out of a parking space in the Piggly Wiggly lot, when, suddenly, he accelerates and slams into another car.  The car then reverses sharply, hitting two more cars before driving forward and ripping part of the bumper off another vehicle.

As shoppers watched in horror, the collisions continued as the driver tried to exit the lot.  Kerr later told police that he became panicked and confused after the initial crash, Mayville Police Dept. Chief Christopher MacNeill said.  "I can tell you in 23 years of law enforcement, I've never seen anything like this," MacNeill told WISN.  "My first thought was, 'You only see these situations when someone is trying to elude police or in incidents of road rage."

The driver won't be charged in the string of crashes, according to police, and they will be considered accidents.  The DMV is planning on reviewing his driving record, however.
