PASSAIC, N.J. (PIX11) — About a dozen people are injured after a 2-alarm fire broke out in an apartment building in Passaic Saturday morning, fire officials said.

The fire started around 9:30 a.m. at a four-story building on Prospect Street. Smoke could be seen billowing from every floor.

People in the building suffered from minor injuries, including smoke inhalation and sprained ankles as they escaped the fire.
