(PIX11) -- Just in time for the weekend of love, New Yorkers will have access to free condoms.

It's part of the city's new safe sex campaign, promoting condom use -- and the health department used Valentine's Day weekend to unveil the initiative.

Free condoms will be available at more than 3,500 locations, including bars, clubs, restaurants and hair salons across the city. To find pro-bono prophylactics near you, use this interactive free-condom finder on the health department's website.

Individuals can also get free NYC Condoms by calling 311, the same number that organizations can call to request city-themed condoms.

The initiative, led NYC Health Commissioner Dr. Mary Basset, will be unveiled at Museum of Sex.
