SHARONVILLE, Ohio (PIX11) — An Ohio school bus driver is off the job after a photo of her holding alcohol behind the wheel made rounds on social media.

Parents could hardly believe their eyes when they saw the photo of the bus driver holding an unopened bottle of alcohol up to her mouth.

“Oh she doesn’t care,” said Sadie Leporati, the mother of an elementary school student. “She obviously doesn’t care about her job.”

The bus driver works for the  largest school transportation company in the country. Officials from the company First Student told FOX 19 said they were unaware of the photo. The company released a statement saying they are “incredibly disappointed” by the driver’s action.

An investigation revealed that the photo was taken at the end of the driver’s route and that no students were on board.

Parents say regardless of the circumstance, their kids need to be safe.

“She should absolutely get fired,” said Leporati. “It was very inappropriate and poor judgement on her part.”

The company has not publicly stated the name of the driver.
