Two injured in 2-car accident in Manhattan

MANHATTAN (PIX11) — At least two people were seriously injured in an accident involving a car and a livery cab on the West Side of Manhattan Wednesday evening, according to police.

The livery cab was traveling southbound on 12th Avenue when it rear-ended a vehicle, then struck a pole.

The accident occurred near 30th Street and 12th Avenue.

Two people were taken to area hospitals.

The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is on the scene.
