Papa John’s punishes employee who leaked Iggy Azalea’s number

(PIX11) — Papa John’s is taking action against one employee who apparently leaked pop singer Iggy Azalea’s personal cellphone number, prompting a very public back-and-forth on Twitter.

The Australian rapper took to Twitter Sunday evening to air her grievances against the company.

The “Fancy” singer believes that a Papa John’s delivery driver gave her phone number to a family member, and she was subsequently contacted multiple times.

When she contacted the supervisor, their answer enraged her even more.

Papa John’s Twitter only added fuel to the fire by trying to win her over with lyrics.

She didn’t take it very well, and continued to rip into the company.

Finally, someone at Papa John’s started to take the pop singer seriously.

“Privacy of our customers and employees is extremely important to us,” a spokesperson said in a statement. “Papa John’s has taken appropriate disciplinary action with regard to the employee involved. We are reaching out directly to Ms. Azalea and hope to resolve this incident and make it right.”

While Papa John’s tries to make things right after a public shaming on Twitter, at least one other pizza company tried to woo the star:
