(PIX11) — Conan O’Brien went on a Super Bowl-style battle on his late night show with New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and the Seattle Seahawks’ silent running back Marshawn Lynch leading up to the big game.
“Everyone is…really wondering ‘would Marshawn Lynch actually speak? Would he say a single word?'” O’Brien quipped to the audience.
Lynch did more than just speak. After battling O’Brien and Gronkowski in a friendly game of yet-to-be released game “Mortal Combat X,” he gave Conan a one-on-one lesson on how to perform his “obscene gesture” touchdown dance.
Just show me how it’s done,” O’Brien demanded, after offering Lynch $50 for the lesson.
After the lesson, O’Brien created a unique touchdown dance of his own, which included kissing the football.
Although we’re hoping for more friendly competition this Sunday, O’Brien ended the stunt by pledging his allegiance to the Patriots, having grown up in Boston himself.
