NEW YORK (PIX11) — Regents exams are still on at New York schools Monday, despite a “potentially historic” blizzard barreling toward the northeast region.

According Mayor Bill de Blasion, city schools will be open on Monday but all after-school activities have been canceled. It’s likely that schools will be closed Tuesday, de Blasio said.

Because schools will remain open through the day, the Regents exam will still be administered to students as scheduled, city officials said.

Many schools will be dismissing early Monday ahead of the dangerous storm.
