Blizzard 2015: Thousands of flights cancelled at area airports

NEW YORK/NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — Thousands of flights have been cancelled as a historic blizzard makes its way through the northeast Monday.

More than 1700 flights to and from JFK, LaGuardia and Newark Liberty airports have been cancelled.

Additionally, more than 2200 flights have already been cancelled for Tuesday.

Many airlines have waived their flight cancellation fees due to the storm.
