NYPD seeking robbery suspect who held woman at knifepoint in the Bronx

MORRISANIA, The Bronx (PIX11) -- The NYPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an attempted robbery in the Bronx.

On Jan. 4, the suspect grabbed the 43-year-old victim on Park Avenue and East 173rd Street in Morrisania, placing a knife on her neck and demanding money, police said.

Screaming for help, she was able to break free and call police. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

Police described the suspect as a black man, about 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, gray pants and black shoes. He was caught on surveillance in the vicinity of the scene.
