MANHATTAN (PIX11) — The fountain in Bryant Park has succumb to the cold temperatures.

After more than a month, the Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain froze Thursday.

“We love the public’s excitement when the fountain freezes, past years have seen some truly stunning frozen fountains,” a statement on the Bryant Park Blog said at the end of November.

This season, park goers were given the opportunity to win gift cards to the surrounding Winter Village Holiday Shops by guessing when the fountain would freeze over.
