LOS ANGELES (PIX11) – Yasmine Bleeth rose to stardom in a red lifeguard’s bathing suit on the set of ‘Baywatch’, then disappeared from the public eye after a battle with drug addiction and a long stint in rehab — until she was photographed New Year’s Day on the Venice beach boardwalk.
Wearing baggy, tie-dye sweatpants and a black sweater, she was at the side of husband Paul Cerrito, who she was supporting (from the beach) as he jumped into the frigid water for the annual Penguin swim.
Bleeth, who was born in New York became a household name after joining Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhof on the set of Baywatch in 1994 as brunette bombshell Caroline Holden.
Despite appearing in a Got Milk? campaign in 2010, Bleeth, 46, had already vanished from the public eye nearly a decade earlier.
After struggling with cocaine use, she entered the Malibu-based rehab program Promises in 2000, where she met her future husband Paul Cerrito.
In 2002, however, she was arrested in Detroit for cocaine possession and driving under the influence; she received two years probation. Her last Hollywood role was in the 2003 TV movie “Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.”
