MANHATTAN, NY (PIX 11) – Video making its way around the internet allegedly shows Whole Foods employees assaulting a man outside the Union Square location.

The alleged incident happened Dec. 30th, 2014.

The video, which first appeared on LiveLeak, begins as an unidentified man near the entrance of the store refuses to leave.

Things get physical when he squares off with one of the people at the scene.

The man then starts to use racial slurs and makes a run for the door. People inside grab a hold of him and violently toss him out into the street.

Over the next 5 minutes or so, the man repeatedly gets up, runs for the door, and gets thrown back to the curb. At times, he’s even punched and kicked while on the ground.

In a statement to PIX11, Whole Foods says that the employees involved have been placed on administrative leave while an internal investigation is conducted.

They added, “We take all incidents involving team members, customers and members of our community seriously and consider safety and security a top priority.”

A police presence is not visible on the video and there’s no indication authorities were called.
