GARRISON (PIX11)--On Monday, we told you the incredible story about a 7-year old girl who not only survived a plane crash in Kentucky, but also walked nearly a mile barefoot in freezing temperatures, to get help.

Today, we're taking a closer look into survival tactics and what you and your family need to know.

Shane Hobel from Mountain Scout Survival School in Garrison will provide tips.
