Hammer-wielding man attacks C train rider: cops

BROOKLYN (PIX11) — Police are looking for a man who bashed an unsuspecting subway rider over the head with a hammer.

The 19 year old male victim  was exiting a southbound ‘C’ train at the Euclid Avenue station Dec. 6, 2014 at about 12:50 p.m. when the suspect, who is known to the victim by face only, hit him in the head with a hammer several times, then fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Brookdale Hospital where he was treated for a laceration to his head and released.

Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
