BENSONHURST, Brooklyn (PIX11) — Hundreds of officers from across the nation — as close as New Jersey and as far away as California — joined their police family, and the family of Wenjian Liu, to pay their respects to the slain NYPD detective.

The scene in Brooklyn was a similar to the one in Queens last week, when a sea of blue filled the city’s streets and a family mourned. Badges and motorcycles from police departments around the country could be spotted in the crowd.

Liu and his partner Rafael Ramos, who was buried last week, were shot execution-style as they sat in their patrol car in Bedford Stuyvesant on Dec. 20.
