ANNADALE, STATEN ISLAND (PIX11)-- This Staten Island bar, The Play Sports Bar will be a sea of blue all to support the families of slain NYPD officers Ramos and Liu on January 10.

This fundraiser for the assassinated police officers is called Every Life Matters and it's the brainchild of bar owner Carmine Gaultieri who decided to open his heart and his wallet to help.

"We are all family," Carmine Gaultieri, Play Sports Bar owner, told PIX11. "We have cops, firefighters, in here all the time. We have to help."

With a $10 cover charge at Play Sports Bar and 15 percent of the profits going to the cops families, they're hoping to raise at least $15,000 for the Daily News Fund, which has already raised more than $230,000.

That on top of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers foundation drive with $525,000 raised toward it's $800,000 goal.

And one retired 20 veteran of the NYPD was moved by the sea of blue at officer Ramos's funeral last weekend. And now he is equally moved by his own bar's fundraiser.

"Even if you can only give a dollar, give to help these families," Joe Masterson, retired NYPD officer and bar patron.

This sports bar Play is still looking for donated items for the raffle so you can get in touch with them on Facebook or call the bar at 718-984-3700.

The fundraiser from 1 PM to midnight next Saturday.
