NYPD, Department of Corrections employees arrested for DWI on New Year’s Day

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Two off-duty New York City employees were arrested on New Year’s Day after driving while intoxicated.

David Walters, 28, of the New York Police Department, was arrested around 4:00 a.m. in Brooklyn and charged with DWI.

Shortly after, Julio Aviles, 32, of the Department of Corrections was arrested around 4:46 a.m. in Manhattan for the same charge.
