NEW YORK (PIX11) – Uber warned about surge pricing before New Year’s Eve this year, but that didn’t stop revelers from using the popular service — and then complaining about it the next day after waking up to the bill.

If they were looking for sympathy from strangers, however, there was little to go around on the first day of 2015.  “Proof that the US is falling behind in math: people complaining about Uber surge pricing after they accepted the rate,” tweeted @Salencita.

“It feels like after every holiday people complain about uber surge pricing so, hear me out: what if you don’t use uber on holidays,” pointed out New Years Hancock.
