Still scrambling for a babysitter for New Year's Eve?
It might cost you a pretty penny.
Some babysitters are raking in the money this holiday. The CEO of UrbanSitter says parents will likely have to pay a bit more if they're going out tonight -- possibly double the normal rate.
Those higher prices aren't just because of the high demand, but because this night is considered a holiday too.
"Definitely it's the day that sitters look forward to making a little more money, and I think parents know in advance that they have to be prepared to get a sitter, and maybe pay a little bit more if they want to go out that night," said Lynn Perkins, UrbanSitter CEO.
To help snag a sitter, UrbanSitter suggests having the sitter bringing a friend along and two could watch your kids and then ring in the New Year together.AlertMe
