MANHATTAN (PIX11) — A woman visiting New York City from Florida vanished Christmas Day while parking her car in Midtown, police said.

Freida Yakubov, 37, of Sarasota, Fla., arrived in Manhattan about 8 a.m. Dec. 25. She was traveling with her boyfriend, whom she dropped off in front of an apartment complex at 111 West 16th Street, police said Tuesday.

With her boyfriend out of the car, Yakubov drove off to park her car — a black, four-door 2009 BMW 1 Series sedan with Florida plates — but never returned.

She is described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 120 pounds, with a light complexion, long blonde hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a white sweater and gray sweat pants when she disappeared.

Anyone who recognizes Yakubov is urged to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
