Stores brace for last minute Christmas shoppers

(PIX11)-- Time is ticking. It is your last weekend to get going and shop before Christmas.

With gas prices at an all time low and the stock market soaring, retailers are hoping for a holiday hit at the registers this year.

Retailers are going to extremes this weekend in to lure shoppers you in right up until Christmas Eve.

Stores will staying open around the clock.

Super Saturday is expected to surpass Black Friday as the biggest shopping day of the year.

Its a big push by retailers this weekend to capture every last holiday shopping dollar.

Competition is fierce between brick and mortar stores and online retailers.

And stores are giving shoppers every chance possible to fill out their shopping lists .

Toys R Us will remain open from 6 a.m. until 2am this weekend.

And the Times Square location will keep its doors open for 183 straight hours starting at 7 a.m on Christmas Eve.

Target and J.C. Penney are also keeping its stores open later to accommodate shoppers this weekend.

But if you’d rather shop from your couch … Amazon is offering same-day delivery on Christmas Eve if orders are placed by 10 a.m.

And if you’re a procrastinator….the Post Office, Fedex and UPS will still get your gift there in time for Christmas Eve if you use Express/Overnight shipping – but the deadline is December 23rd.

Here at Kohl s there will be extending store hours and opening at 6am.

Same-day delivery and in-store pickup..

Convenience becomes a more important, because you're running out of time.
