(PIX11) — Mayor Bill de Blasio is meeting today at City Hall with members of Justice League NYC, the activist group that has organized a number of protests against police killings of unarmed black men, including the Millions March NYC last weekend.

The protesters will bring their demands to the mayor, including that Daniel Pantaleo, the officer caught on film putting Staten Island resident Eric Garner in a chokehold,  fired.

Mayor de Blasio will call on all protests to be nonviolent and respectful. The the Millions March NYC, two police lieutenants were assaulted by a protester on the Brooklyn Bridge.

A pro-police rally is also scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday at City Hall Plaza. Both police unions say they don't have anything to do with the event, and that it's a grassroots rally organized by police supporters. The rally is expected to go until midnight.
