NANUET, New York (PIX11) – A Costco worker was attacked by a fellow employee armed with a box cutter early Friday, according to Clarkstown Police.

The two were busy stocking shelves around 6 a.m. on Black Friday when the fight broke out in a bathroom of the big box store at 50 Overlook Blvd., according to Lt. Dietrich.

The victim, a 21-year-old Garnerville man, was slashed multiple times in the face and once in the abdominal area.  The man  was taken to Nyack Hospital for surgery.  He is expected to survive.

The suspect fled the store and is currently sought by police.  He’s described as a man in his late teens or early twenties.

According to police, there was talk at the store that the incident may have been related to an argument between the two last week.

Police say the suspect has been identified and detectives are confident he will be caught.
