LONG ISLAND (PIX11) -- A Long Island grandpa is not in the spirit of giving this holiday weekend.

Gary Ericksen is accused of stealing $2 million from his own granddaughter!

Eriksen is behind bars for cashing out on a wrongful death settlement.

Police say his son, Scott Eriksen, died after being brutally beaten by Suffolk County corrections officers back in 2005.

The grandpa told the court that he was the only heir.

He in turn got all of the money and is accused of spending it on luxury cars and homes.

What Eriksen failed to mention is his 13-year-old granddaughter was first in line for the multi-million dollar settlement.

Eriksen is due back in court on Tuesday.
