Police investigating death of 17-month-old on Upper West Side

UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) — Police say they are investigating the death of a 17-month old girl on the Upper West Side.

At around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to a 911 call of a child having difficulty breathing. When police responded to the home on West 100th Street, they found the toddler, Rose Sanders, unresponsive.

The child was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police said the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
