UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) -- An overnight fire in an upper west side garage destroyed two specially-made ambulances.

They belonged to the Central Park Medical Unit.

The vehicles were designed to fit under the many bridges and tunnels in the park where normal ambulances cannot -- drastically cutting down response times.

Nobody was seriously injured in the two-alarm blaze, which is under investigation.

An online fundraising campaign has been set up to try and replace the vehicles.
