LOS ANGELES (AP) — Netflix is postponing Bill Cosby’s upcoming stand up comedy special amid allegations from multiple women that he drugged and raped them.

A spokesperson for the company says it is postponing the launch of “Bill Cosby 77.” This follows accusations that Cosby has sexually assaulted several women.

Cosby has remained silent, and his attorney, John P. Schmitt, issued a statement Sunday saying his client would not dignify “decade-old, discredited” claims of sexual abuse with a response.

The 77-year-old Cosby was never criminally charged in any case.

Why are these people not required to take and pass a lie detector test BEFORE they are given a media platform with which to smear and assassinate the character of public or even private figures? This in no way refers to Mr Cosby’s guilt or innocence but is directed at the media’s responsibility to ensure an accuser is trustworthy and accurate before being allowed to tarnish a persons image without corroboration! Concerned with a persons right to be free of false accusations.
