‘I see someone flying across the platform’: Train operator talks about rider’s last moments in fatal push

NEW YORK (PIX11) – NYPD reports that the man wanted for questioning in the fatal platform-push on the D train has been apprehended in the Bronx.

Kevin Darden, 34, is a person of interest in the deadly subway attack Sunday evening, when someone knocked 61-year-old Wai Kuen Kwok, of the Bronx, into the path of a speeding southbound D train.

NYPD says Kwok had been pushed into the on coming train. A person of interest, Kevin Darden, has since been apprehended.

MTA Train Operator James Muriel was motoring into the 167th Street Station on that Sunday. He has worked for the New York City Transit Authority for 23 years.

He says it's the third time he has seen a rider on the tracks.
