THE BRONX (PIX11) — A person was struck and killed by a train in the Bronx Friday morning,¬†according to the MTA.

The deadly strike snarled the commute for hours, forcing multiple service changes on the 6 train line.

Service between Pelham Bay Park and Hunts Pt Av has resumed with delays, according to an 8:30 a.m. update from the transit agency.

Commuters are urged to allow themselves extra travel time. They can also take the Bx4 or Bx4A buses making stops at nearby stations.

Initially, an MTA spokesperson said the victim was not struck by a train, but later amended that to say the deceased — who has not yet been identified — was killed by a moving subway at the St Lawrence Av station.

An investigation is underway.
