Officials say the female infant was discovered by an employee who was moving trash at the ReCommunity Recycling facility on Railroad Avenue. Troopers from Hamilton Station reported to the facility around 1:30 p.m.

The unidentified girl was pronounced dead at 3: 31 p.m. and transported to the Middlesex County Medical Examiners Office in North Brunswick. An autopsy was performed Nov. 12.

Bloodstained clothes were found near the girl’s body and detectives are hoping someone may recognize the items to help find her mother.
